Miss you, Mama

Today (Hong Kong Time 3/17/2020) is the 6-month anniversary of my Mama’s passing. I miss her every day. This is a drawing of us holding hands when she was in the hospital. I would like to take this chance and count my blessings:

• I’m thankful that I have Mama as my mom. She was the most caring, positive, and wonderful soul I’d ever known.

• I’m thankful that Mama was in the hospital before the outbreak of COVID-19, and I got to spend the last 3 weeks of her life with her.

• I’m thankful for all the wonderful health providers at the hospital.

• I’m thankful that she remained positive until the end. She joked with us whenever she could talk in those last few weeks.

• I’m thankful that she didn’t experience any major pain, although she had cancer.

• I’m thankful that she got her heartbeat back for a few seconds when I kissed her for the last time.

• I am thankful that she had accepted Christ as her Savior before she passed away. I know that Jesus is taking good care of her right now. I am also amazed by Jesus’s ways, both big and small, of taking care of me during the difficult period.
